• Meet a demonstrable need within the community and are in demand.
• Deliver widespread impact, especially to underserved groups.
• Feature measurable outcomes, with a clear plan for documenting results and ensuring long-term sustainability.
• Show financial responsibility through diversified income sources.
• Encourage collaboration with other organizations to enhance effectiveness and reach.
• Avoid duplicating the efforts of other nonprofits, instead aiming to complement existing services.
• Are operated by organizations with at least three years of full-service experience, and the project or program applying for the grant should have at least one year of impact, documented by a report.
