The Foundation is devoting significant resources toward investments in two critical focus areas for our work in Forsyth County: Building an Inclusive Economy and Advancing Equity in Education.
The grant program focuses on Capacity-Building Grants that are designed to support activities and projects enhancing the internal operations of nonprofits in Forsyth County. These activities aim to support adaptation, planning, and skill development to achieve more impactful outcomes. Such grants also emphasize diversity, equity, and inclusion training and coaching, focusing on advancing racial equity. They fund projects across governance, leadership, professional development, learning and adaptation, evaluation, technical skills, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Specifically, they support board development, succession planning, professional development, executive coaching, organizational assessments, strategic planning, financial management, IT and HR assistance, marketing plans, outreach skills, and racial equity training among others.
