Tito's Vodka Donation Request: Documents, Lead Times, and Approval Odds (2026 Guide)

What Tito's Handmade Vodka actually donates, the four documents its form requires, the 30-day minimum lead time, and the 18% success rate across 3,526 tracked requests.

Tito's Handmade Vodka takes donation requests through one online form at titosvodka.com/donation, open to 501(c)(3) nonprofits hosting 21+ events with a chance to serve cocktails. You upload four documents (W-9, IRS determination letter, most recent Form 990, and a sponsorship packet) that together must stay under 2 MB, and you apply at least one month before the event. Across 3,526 tracked applications on TheShareWay, about 18% of Tito's Handmade Vodka donation requests are approved. Most approvals are gift boxes of Tito's branded merchandise rather than bottles, so plan your raffle or auction accordingly. You can track your request alongside your other asks on Tito's Handmade Vodka's TheShareWay page.

Figures as of September 2026, from applications tracked on TheShareWay.

Tito's Handmade Vodka responds to donation requests in a median of 22 days, based on applications tracked on TheShareWay. About three in ten answers arrive within a week and six in ten within a month, but roughly one in five responses takes more than 60 days, which is why the brand asks for so much lead time.

    What Tito's actually donates

Tito's donations tracked on TheShareWay are typically worth $120–$390, with a median of $250. The most common approval, according to nonprofits reviewing Tito's on TheShareWay, is a gift box of branded merchandise: glassware, apparel, koozies, bar signs, and dog-themed items for animal groups. Several reviewers were surprised that the box contained no vodka and were still pleased, because the swag is plentiful and raffles well. Animal-welfare organizations often get dog-related merchandise on purpose.

A smaller group of nonprofits does receive product, usually one or two cases of 1-liter bottles for a signature cocktail or a spirits raffle, handed over by a local Tito's marketing rep with specific rules about how the bottles are displayed and served. About six in ten completed donations tracked on TheShareWay were picked up rather than shipped, so expect a local hand-off if bottles are involved and a box in the mail if it is merchandise.

If you are building a basket around a Tito's box, our raffle basket ideas pair well with it, and the free silent auction bid sheet covers the auction table.

    Who is eligible

Tito's spells out its rules on its Contact and FAQs page. As of September 2026:

    • Organization type. 501(c)(3) public charities, private foundations, and private operating foundations. Tito's says it may also support 501(c)(4), 501(c)(6), and 501(c)(8) organizations depending on the mission, but 501(c)(3) is the safe path.
    • Event type. Nonprofit events where attendees are 21+, there is an opportunity to serve cocktails, and the activities are safe to take part in while drinking. Dog-friendly events get priority consideration.
    • Not eligible. Personal events such as birthdays, weddings, and bachelor or bachelorette parties; fundraisers for an individual person or pet; and events where youth are the primary audience. School PTAs and youth sports groups are turned down regularly for that last reason, and nonprofits without a 501(c)(3) letter are declined outright.

How to submit a Tito's donation request

    1. Confirm the basics. You have a 501(c)(3) determination letter, your event is at least 30 days out, and the crowd is 21+. If any of those is missing, skip Tito's this cycle; those are the decline reasons nonprofits report most often.
    2. Assemble the four documents (details below) and compress them until the combined size is under 2 MB.
    3. Open the form on a desktop computer at titosvodka.com/donation. Tito's says the form works best from a computer in Google Chrome, and recommends clearing your cache if the submit button misbehaves.
    4. Describe the event specifically. Date, expected attendance, whether cocktails will be served, and what you want (bottles for a signature drink, product for a raffle, or a merchandise box). Requests that name the cocktail-serving opportunity match what Tito's says it is looking for.
    5. Log the application on Tito's TheShareWay page so you can see when others are hearing back and set a follow-up reminder.

The four documents (and the 2 MB cap)

Tito's requires four uploads, and the combined size of all of them cannot exceed 2 MB:

    • W-9 for your organization.
    • IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter. If you cannot find yours, here is how to get a copy of your 501(c)(3) determination letter.
    • Most recent Form 990 (or 990-EZ / 990-N confirmation, whichever your organization files).
    • Sponsorship packet. A short PDF describing the event, audience, sponsor benefits, and your ask. If you do not have one, adapt our donation request letter template into a one-page cover letter and add an event sheet.

The 2 MB limit is the part that trips people up. A scanned determination letter alone can be several megabytes, so export documents as reduced-size PDFs and keep the sponsorship packet to two or three pages. Nonprofits that gave up on Tito's because the paperwork felt heavy show up in TheShareWay's data as declines that never happened.

    When to apply

Tito's minimum is one month before the event. If your event is four or more months away, the brand says its team typically reviews requests two to three months before the event date, so an early application will sit in the queue rather than get an early answer. Nonprofits that got a yes from Tito's applied a median of 77 days before their event, based on approved applications tracked on TheShareWay, which lines up with that two-to-three-month review window.

January through March is the busiest stretch for Tito's requests on TheShareWay, roughly a quarter of all applications, so spring galas face the most competition. Tito's decline emails cite "too many requests" and budget limits as reasons, and reviewers describe approvals arriving anywhere from a few weeks after applying to a couple of days before the event.

Alcohol laws and the 21+ rule

A spirits donation is not like a gift card. Whether a distiller can hand product to a nonprofit, whether the nonprofit needs a temporary permit to serve or raffle it, and whether alcohol can be an auction prize at all are governed by state alcohol beverage control rules, and they differ from state to state. Tito's own decline emails list "legal limitations" among the reasons a request can be turned down, and its requirement that attendees be 21+ and that activities be safe while drinking is written to keep both sides inside those rules.

Before you apply, confirm three things with your venue or caterer: that the event's liquor license (or a one-day permit) covers donated product, that you can legally raffle or auction sealed bottles in your state, and that your event has a real pouring opportunity. For an example of how detailed one state's rules get, see our guide to serving alcohol at nonprofit events in California. If bottles are not workable in your state, ask Tito's for a merchandise box instead; that is what most approved nonprofits receive anyway.

    After you apply

Expect an automated email either way. Declines are a form letter that says Tito's cannot accommodate the request "at this time" and that requests may be declined for timeline constraints, schedule conflicts, legal limitations, or mission misalignment. The email is no-reply; Tito's points questions to love@titosvodka.com. Nonprofits in TheShareWay's reviews describe declines as fast and polite, and several were invited to apply again for a future event.

Approvals usually come from a regional Tito's marketing contact who arranges shipping or a pick-up. If bottles are involved, that person will give you display and serving instructions and a pick-up window, so reply quickly and have the pick-up person's details ready. Once the event is over, send a thank-you letter for the donation with a photo of the Tito's table or basket. Reviewers who built a relationship with their local rep report an easier path the second time.

If you hear nothing, do not assume the worst until the two-to-three-month review window has passed. About half of Tito's donation requests get a response, based on applications tracked on TheShareWay, so keep a backup spirits or raffle donor in your plan.

Love, Tito's, Vodka for Dog People, and the grants question

Love, Tito's is the brand's name for all of its giving, not a separate foundation you apply to. Tito's says the program has put more than $200 million into nonprofits over the past five years across 50,000-plus nonprofit events and 20,000-plus organizations, and every one of those requests came through the same donation form. Vodka for Dog People, which supports low-cost spay and neuter, affordable veterinary care, and adoptions, and Block to Block, a volunteer program, are divisions of the company rather than standalone nonprofits, so they cannot accept donations and do not run their own application processes. Animal groups apply through the standard form; the dog-friendly priority is where that program shows up in practice.

On cash: Tito's states plainly that it does not offer grants at this time, and its philanthropy is built around nonprofit events and fundraisers. Treat a Tito's request as an in-kind and event-sponsorship ask, and look elsewhere for program funding.
