Allegany Community Out Reach (ACOR) Grants aim to support local community projects that align with the mission and vision of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, focusing on improving health, wellness, and quality of life in marginalized communities. Open to nonprofit organizations affiliated with the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, Allegany Franciscan Associates, or Trinity Health, these grants can be used for program or general operating support. Specific causes supported include nutrition education, food, shelter, clothing, employment skills, strategic planning, technology upgrades, and infrastructure costs. Priority is given to projects that improve health and wellness through holistic approaches, promote self-sufficiency or systemic change, serve marginalized groups such as BIPOC, LGBTQ+ community members, people with disabilities, low-income populations, and other historically disenfranchised groups, incorporate served individuals' viewpoints, and focus on women and the environment.
