Its funding targets initiatives that engage impacted communities, promote policy education for the greater good, and advocate for transparency and structural reforms. Domestically, from 2021-2024, it seeks to make measurable progress in the US South and Midwest by shifting policies away from corporate influence and towards equitable community engagement, emphasizing support for people of color, working-class leadership, and environmental concerns. Internationally, it backs efforts to promote a just US foreign policy that favors human dignity and peace. The foundation offers grants averaging $50,000-$75,000 to 501(c)(3) organizations, including those with fiscal sponsors, for projects aligned with its mission.
