    Overview

    The Sinnott Award supports scholars in botanical sciences conducting research with the Arnold Arboretum's living collection, which is noted for being one of the world's most thoroughly documented collections of temperate woody plants. The grant aims to support original research, encourage collegial exchanges and partnerships, and highlight the research value of the Arboretum’s collections, including access to the herbarium, library, archives, and laboratories. Awards up to $7,000 are provided for research and/or travel expenses, but not as salary stipends, with a preference for applicants who will reside at the Arboretum during their research.
