The Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB) aims to advance biology as a science by encouraging research, knowledge sharing, applying knowledge to solve biological problems, and preserving biological resources. It promotes research and education in the biological sciences through networking environments at its annual meetings.
The Research Award from the Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB) grants $1000 to a professional member (excluding students) for outstanding research. Eligibility requires a written manuscript or publication and an oral presentation at the ASB annual meeting. The research work must be completed after the previous ASB annual meeting but not before, and the presentation must occur at either the previous or upcoming annual meeting.
