The AWMS Committee, since its initiation in 2012, is committed to actively involve tertiary students in the realm of scientific wildlife management. Through recognizing the importance of hands-on experience in operational activities, policy development, and research within this field, it aims to attract and nurture young, passionate members.
The Braysher Management Fund aims to support practical wildlife management projects that tackle 'Wicked Problems' – issues that are complex and difficult to resolve due to social intricacies and contradictory requirements. The grant prioritizes projects where community involvement is crucial to success, including workshops, publications, travel for community engagement, educational initiatives, and research projects focusing on community-led wildlife management solutions.
