For 93 years, Mac's Toy Fund has been dedicated to ensuring families in Raleigh County experience a special Christmas. By providing toys, coats, bikes, and other necessities to families in need, they aim to spread holiday cheer and support within the community.
The Susan Landis Youth Philanthropists (SLYP) Grant through the Beckley Area Foundation is designed to engage high school juniors in community philanthropy. This program offers a hands-on learning experience in the art, science, and business of philanthropy, where participants solicit and evaluate funding proposals. These students are tasked with making final grant recommendations, pending the approval of the BAF Board of Directors. The maximum award for a single grant is $1,000.
