The Berks County Community Foundation strives to enhance the quality of life for residents of Berks County, Pennsylvania, by fostering community improvement projects, supporting local non-profits, and encouraging philanthropy.

Type of Support

Overview

St. John's UCC Reading Fund support the organizations and causes that were important to the original congregations, including:

Meet a pressing need for youth or help children from Berks County participate in activities that their families would not otherwise be able to afford
Alleviate hunger
Benefit senior citizens
Provide ministry, outreach, or the establishment of new churches for United Church of Christ congregations in Berks County
Support the current congregation of First UCC's historic home through organ and piano tuning, building maintenance, and/or ministry and outreach
Preference is given to religious organizations or causes. Other areas of interest include Neighborhoods and Economic Development, Arts, Culture, and Humanities
