To achieve the goal of better health for all Arkansans, the Blue & You Foundation seeks to harness the power of partnership. By strategically focusing its grant funding on community-based solutions, the Foundation hopes to nurture community health leadership, foster collaboration and innovation, and leverage financial, human, and community resources to produce a measurable, positive impact.
The Social Determinants of Health grants are aimed at addressing the underlying factors that impact health outcomes. These factors include the conditions of people’s birth, growth, living, and work environments, along with the broader systems influencing their day-to-day lives. The grant supports projects that improve aspects such as economic stability, education quality and access, healthcare access and quality, the condition of neighborhoods and availability of safe housing, and the social and community context. Funding ranges from $5,000 to $200,000, and applicants must request the full amount needed without expecting partial funding.
