    The Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) aims to build a thriving, resilient economy and enhance community health and capacity in Chaffee County. It addresses systemic challenges to improve the life quality for all residents, focusing on economic resilience, community health, and organizational capacity. Projects and initiatives are designed to support individuals below 60% Area Median Income, foster a diverse and interconnected community, and ensure access to healthcare, education, and local opportunities.

    The grant program supports broad goals across three strategic priorities: Community Vitality, Community Health, and Community Capacity. Specific causes include:

    • Promoting civic engagement and resiliency among low-income individuals and families.
    • Fostering interconnected nonprofit and for-profit sectors and creating diverse employment opportunities.
    • Supporting diverse and affordable housing and thriving locally-owned businesses.
    • Increasing access to affordable childcare, quality healthcare, mental health services, and promoting health and outdoor connection.
    • Building organizational strengths through workshops, collaborative actions, and a technical assistance fund to support nonprofits and small businesses.
