The mission of the Sue Goetz Ross and Stephen S. Roberts Music Fund, through the legacy gift made by Stephen Roberts and its association with the Permanent Fund for Northern Virginia, is dedicated to forever supporting the arts and culture sector within the region.
The BWGC grant program is aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and inventive opportunities for women and girls, with a particular focus on supporting initiatives in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), Leadership, and Entrepreneurship. This grant targets nonprofit organizations and schools in Northern Virginia that offer charitable and educational services, including STEM education, leadership training, entrepreneurship programs, and mentorship for girls and young women. The grant selection process involves a Semi-Finalist Pitch Week, where semifinalists present their programs to BWGC members who deliberate and vote on the final slate of grant recipients.
