    Overview

    The Truckee River Fund grants program focuses on projects and programs that significantly impact the water quality and the watershed of the Truckee River. The major goals include mitigating threats to water quality, particularly upstream or near treatment and hydroelectric plant intakes. The grant prioritizes projects addressing aquatic invasive species, watershed improvements to reduce pollutants, local stormwater improvements to mitigate runoff, re-forestation and re-vegetation to restore areas affected by fire and logging, rehabilitation of local tributary creeks for water quality improvement, and stewardship and environmental awareness programs. These efforts aim to maintain or enhance the reliability and safety of the community's water supply through innovative and practical solutions.
