The Foundation reflects Ralph C. Wilson, Jr.'s devotion to his hometown of Detroit and the people of greater Buffalo, aiming to support the regions through a sustainable and impactful philanthropic approach.

    Overview

    The Pontiac Capacity Building program aims to address funding needs among local government, grassroots and community organizations, and nonprofits in Pontiac. It strives to increase access to tools, staff, or consultants to enhance the organizations' capacity to further their missions. This includes improving operations, securing funding and resources, fostering an organizational culture that prioritizes attitudes, practices, and values for effective internal and external engagement, strategic planning, program development, management, evaluation, and leadership and governance enhancement. All grantees benefit from technical assistance, inclusion in a learning and networking cohort, and access to the Michigan Nonprofit Association’s nonprofit assessment tool, to identify areas for strengthening.
