The mission of the Niagara Area Foundation (NAF) is to address the philanthropic void in Niagara County through charitable efforts. Established in 2000 by a collective of individuals from the private and nonprofit sectors, NAF aims to support and positively impact the community of Niagara County.
The Josephine Goodyear Foundation Fund supports approximately 50 annual grants, amounting to about $300,000, aimed at non-profit agencies working with indigent women and children. While historically the foundation focused on medical support, it now embraces a wider range of assistance programs. Grants are decided upon during Advisory Council meetings in May and September each year.
