Philanthropy is our commitment to communities in which we operate and broader society. We focus our resources on a limited number of key projects that can deliver valuable benefits from our contributions and those of our partners.
The grant program gives priority to innovative, high-quality projects that promote sustainable development, leverage Roche's expertise and logistics capabilities, involve Roche actively with local authorities and partners from an early stage, and engage Roche employees in cultural, educational, and social activities. The projects must be managed by an accredited charity. The program's focus areas are Humanitarian and Social, Science and Education, Community and Environment, and Arts and Culture, supporting projects that contribute to humanitarian and social development, scientific engagement and educational opportunities for youth, community strengthening and sustainable disaster response, and innovative art and cultural projects that connect art innovation with science.
