The BCCF and the Readlyn Community Fund committees offer grants focused on improving life across Bremer County and in Readlyn, aiming to foster communities where people wish to live and support rural areas. They prioritize funding projects that enhance art & culture, community betterment, education, the environment, health, historic preservation, and human services. Currently, the greatest emphasis is on helping nonprofits most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, preferring general operational support over project-specific proposals. Priority is given to initiatives that address broad community needs, demonstrate extensive community backing, exhibit strong support from other funding sources, encourage cooperation among local organizations, and ensure the project's sustainability without relying on annual grants from the BCCF.
