The Erie County Community Foundation focuses on supporting a broad array of needs within Erie County, with particular emphasis on Arts and Humanities, Community Development, Education, Environment, Health and Social Services, and Youth Services. They aim to encourage mindful and effective grant-making to foster collaboration, build capacity, leverage resources, ensure sustainability, and provide substantial community benefits.
The Community Grants Guidelines of the Erie County Community Foundation aim to support a wide array of needs throughout Erie County. This includes efforts in the realms of Arts and Humanities, Community Development, Education, Environment, Health and Social Services, and Youth Services. The grant prioritizes projects that remove barriers to transportation, provide job training, create employment opportunities, improve access to childcare and mental health treatment, support educational and artistic opportunities for children, and ensure the health of Lake Erie and local waterways among others. Collaborations are encouraged, and while priority is given to projects within specified focus areas, the Foundation still considers requests outside these priorities with a funding cap for such requests at $10,000.
