    Overview

The annual competitive grantmaking program of the Lexington Area Community Foundation evaluates effective programs and strategies that support health, education (including early childhood school readiness), human services, arts and culture, and workforce development. These grants aim to benefit a broad range of charitable purposes, favoring projects capable of attaining measurable results. The Foundation prioritizes investments based on the potential for significant impact, the likelihood of success, and the optimal use of funds. Grants are generally awarded up to $5,000, though a $10,000 grant may be considered for new and innovative projects that do not duplicate existing services. The program aims for projects/programs not funded for more than three years consecutively.
