The grant program is focused on the broad goal of enhancing student experiences through innovative opportunities not typically covered by the district's budget. It supports various causes and activities, including:

• Enrichment activities for individuals or student groups that are not for academic credit or general operating expenses of co-curricular activities.
• Innovative classroom activities and programming, such as arts programming, that are usually not supported by district funding.
• Technology and learning projects aimed at incorporating cutting-edge technologies in teaching and learning, aligning with the district's technology plans and initiatives.
• Initiatives that promote business, civic, and community involvement with students.
• Professional training for individuals that will have a positive impact on students.
• Projects outside the usual funding by the district but are in line with district curricula and policies. Grant awards from this program are generally up to $2,000.
