It recognizes Wisconsin educators, students, and principals for their outstanding contributions and provides them with financial support to achieve their goals, thereby enhancing the quality of education in Wisconsin.
The Herb Kohl Principal Leadership program's primary aim is to honor and sustain the leadership roles of private school principals and administrators through financial support. This is achieved by awarding grants to both the individuals and their respective institutions to foster the pursuit of their unrealized educational or professional development ambitions. Each year, the program selects up to 17 principals to receive personal grants of $6,000 and matching grants of another $6,000 for their schools, totaling an annual distribution to 100 teachers and 17 principals.
