The mission of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is to improve quality of life in Greater Kansas City by increasing charitable giving, educating and connecting donors to community needs, and leading on critical issues.
The grant program driven by the Kansas City, Missouri Branch of the AAUW and the Wagy Fund Committee aims to partner with organizations that drive societal change by benefiting women and girls. This initiative seeks to support programs offering women and girls economic security, enhanced self-esteem, lifelong education, comprehensive healthcare, personal safety, and legal and human rights, including reproductive rights. It emphasizes the need for respect and equity for girls, ensuring they are valued equally in their families and communities, ultimately enabling women and girls' equal access to political, economic, and cultural life.
