    Overview

The Migrant Education Program (MEP) seeks to provide supplemental education and support services to eligible migratory children and youth during the summer. It targets children from prekindergarten through high school, including out‐of‐school youth. The grant supports summer school programs focusing on reading, mathematics, school readiness, high school graduation, and secondary‐aged youth services, including those who are dropouts and out‐of‐school. Additionally, the grant covers ancillary and support services. Funding for this program is based on federal appropriation, with up to $1 million available for summer programs, supporting various projects that directly assist migratory children to overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
