Cudahy Fund: General Community Grants

The grant program encompasses broad goals to address essential needs and foster opportunities across different sectors:

• Social Services - Focused on creating safety nets for under-resourced, low-income communities. It supports initiatives helping homeless or nearly homeless individuals, marginalized groups like veterans or those exiting prison, housing/shelter, food/anti-hunger efforts, and employment programs.
• Health and Human Services - Offers support for subsidized, low-cost, or free healthcare services for uninsured and under-insured individuals across all ages. It emphasizes access to mental and dental health services, outreach programs, assistance for disabled individuals or those facing specific challenges, and services for the elderly.
• Environment - Aims at conservation efforts to protect wildlife, preservation of natural areas, and support for public interest environmental law.
• Education - Provides funding for a range of educational programs from early childhood to adult continuing education. This includes support for after-school programs, educational opportunities for homeless or at-risk adults, and scholarships for low-income communities to have access to high-quality programs.
• Art and Culture - Focuses on making arts and culture accessible to underprivileged populations through subsidized entry to museums/cultural sites/events and supports the general operating needs of arts and cultural organizations.
