The Jewish Foundation's Women of Vision Society is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in the Greater New Haven area and in Israel. Established by 100 founding members, its mission encompasses addressing issues such as domestic violence, health, acculturation, and spirituality. The society seeks to enhance, support, and sustain critical programming and services for women and girls, having distributed over $180,000 toward these causes since its inception.
The Community Security Grants, supported by the Arthur Eder Family Fund, are designated to improve security for Jewish institutions within the greater New Haven region. Eligible recipients include area synagogues, the Jewish Community Center (JCC), Camp Laurelwood, Ezra Academy, and Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy. The grants primarily aim to provide financial assistance for security enhancements. Specifically, for synagogues, Ezra, and Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy, the grant amounts can go up to $10,000. This initiative reflects a focused effort to ensure the safety and security of the Jewish community's institutions.
