The Justice40 Accelerator Program is designed to support organizations from under-invested communities with the ambition to navigate the public funding space effectively. It addresses the need for these communities to be informed, inspired, and equipped to secure public funding for transformational environmental and social justice projects. This program specifically seeks applications from groups that aim to tackle issues covered by the Justice40 Initiative, which includes climate-resilient infrastructure, clean energy, clean transportation, and other related areas. It particularly emphasizes support for projects with majority Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) leadership serving BIPOC-majority communities. The Accelerator provides a 12-month cohort experience offering project development support, technical assistance, training on grant requirements, access to federal funding opportunities, and a variety of other resources to enhance the applicants' ability to secure grant funding. Additionally, cohort members receive a $25,000 unrestricted grant to support their participation in the program.
