The mission of the Josephine Rudy Smith Fund is to support ministerial students by providing financial assistance for their seminary expenses, in memory of Josephine Rudy Smith. The fund aims to sustain this support through ongoing donations and is administered by a committee associated with First United Methodist Church of Henderson, Kentucky.

Overview

Grants will be awarded annually to churches, institutions, teams, or projects related to The United Methodist Church for the purpose of extending the mission of church to “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World” outside of the United States of America. International Mission Grants will be awarded only to churches, institutions, teams, or projects outside of the United States of America. Each grant application must come with a signed nomination from a Kentucky Conference United Methodist layperson or clergyperson. Preference will be given to projects that have an active connection to United Methodist congregations in Kentucky.
