The Massachusetts Bar Foundation aims to improve the administration of justice, promote an understanding of the law, and ensure equal access to the legal system for all residents of Massachusetts, especially those most vulnerable.
The IOLTA Grants Program by the MBF grants funds to approximately 100 nonprofit organizations annually in Massachusetts. These organizations are dedicated to offering civil legal services to low-income clients or to enhancing the administration of justice. Areas of critical assistance supported by these grants include resolving legal issues related to domestic violence, housing, immigration status, child advocacy, family law, discrimination, and health care.
