    Overview

    The Automation Training Incentive Program grants up to $35,000 to small businesses in the manufacturing or skilled production industries for training existing workers on new automation technology. It aims to quickly and effectively train incumbent workers for small businesses located outside the seven-county metropolitan area or in specified cities investing in new automation technology. Training must be for existing, full-time jobs paying at least 120% of the federal poverty guidelines for a family of four, which equals $37,440 per year for 2024.
