The NEA Foundation is an independent national philanthropic organization founded by educators to promote the absolute best in public education.
Envision Equity Grants are designed to empower educators to experiment with creative new ideas and practices, focusing on enhancing teaching and learning in ways that promote cultural understanding and appreciation, anti-racism, and civic engagement and democracy. With funding of up to $5,000 for projects lasting 12 months from the award date, these grants encourage project-based learning that helps educators advance these critical areas among students. Activities funded may include bringing in trainers for culturally-sustaining teaching, purchasing new social and emotional learning materials, supporting project-based learning initiatives, developing educational partnerships within communities, accessing resources for deepening understanding of racial equity and anti-racist actions, and projects that amplify student voice in civic and community engagement.
