The Pacific Life Foundation aims to have a positive impact on communities through its giving program. This is possible through strong relationships with nonprofit partners, supporting their missions and passions, and by contributing to making communities healthier, safer, and stronger. The Foundation supports areas where Pacific Life employees live and work, focusing on arts and culture, community development, environment, education, health, and human services nationally, including food security, disaster relief, financial stability, and ocean health.
The Pacific Life Foundation's grants program seeks to support issue areas that align with its interests and benefit the communities where Pacific Life employees reside. The program aims to encourage positive change in local communities by partnering with organizations that identify and address opportunities or challenges, employing proven or innovative strategies for meaningful impact. Grants support areas such as arts and culture, community development, education, health and human services, and the environment. Applications are accepted annually for both program and capital grants, with program grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 for one year, and capital grants between $25,000 to $100,000 for substantial fundraising campaigns. Funding guidelines ensure resources are used wisely, allowing for a thorough grantmaking process. Nonprofits can reapply annually but are limited to three consecutive years of support, with a two-year wait before reapplying, except under certain conditions.
