The Combined Pilot Research Grants, sponsored by the PSF, the American Association of Pediatric Plastic Surgeons (AAPPS), and other subspecialty organizations, aim to fund pilot research studies across various subspecialties in plastic surgery. These include hand surgery, academic research, peripheral nerve research, microsurgery, and particularly pediatric plastic surgery. The grants focus on supporting preliminary projects that have the potential to advance scientific knowledge and patient care in these areas. The ultimate goal is to help these early-stage projects develop into substantial research endeavors by securing further funding from larger agencies. Each grant awards up to $10,000 for 1-year pilot projects.
