Our mission is to support the people of Racine County by providing funding to Racine County's hardworking nonprofit organizations and students, and by responsibly stewarding our endowment and all gifts entrusted to it. This ensures we can partner with our donors to provide this funding forever. We aim to continue boosting our endowment, which currently exceeds $65 million, allowing us to award over $2 million in grants annually to local nonprofits. Our endowment-focused approach means we can support Racine County’s essential projects and programs indefinitely, reinforcing our commitment to the community and its betterment.
The grant program focuses on supporting nonprofit organizations in Racine County that contribute to the betterment of the community. Through a competitive grants process, financial support is provided to projects and programs across several key areas: Arts & Culture, Community Development, Education, Environment, Healthcare, and Human Services. Organizations interested in applying for funding must first submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by January 31 of the calendar year. If the LOI is accepted, applicants are then invited to submit a full application during assigned grant cycles (spring, summer, or fall) using an online portal. This process ensures a structured and equitable distribution of grants to initiatives that align with the funder's mission of long-term community support and development.
