The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP) was organized 1942 to advance analytical chemistry through science education. Its sister society is the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh (SSP). The SACP is dedicated to the education of their membership, of the community and of future scientists from kindergarten through college.
The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh will award two grants of up to $10,000 and one grant of $5,000 each to promote high-quality, innovative undergraduate research in the field of analytical chemistry. The objective of this grant is to promote training and development of undergraduate students in the field of analytical chemistry.
Chemistry faculty at U.S. colleges and universities not having a graduate program in the chemical sciences are eligible to apply. The faculty member must currently be conducting or planning to conduct research in the field of analytical chemistry with the assistance of undergraduate students.
