The core purpose of the SAEM Foundation is to improve health by investing in academic emergency medicine career development, research, and education.
The SAEMF Research Training Grant (RTG) aims to foster the development of researchers in emergency medicine by providing significant financial support, mentorship, and training over a two-year period. With a total award of $300,000, the grant focuses on enhancing the awardee's research methodology skills, encouraging an academic research career, and facilitating emergency medicine research training within the host institution. Awardees are expected to attend the SAEM Annual Meeting, submit progress reports and an abstract, publish a research manuscript, limit their clinical work, receive strong mentorship, complete a research project that advances their career, and acquire the skills necessary to secure further funding.
