The Twin County Community Foundation aims to improve healthcare, education, and general welfare in Carroll County, Grayson County, and the City of Galax, Virginia. It focuses on meeting the healthcare needs of the indigent and uninsured, supporting healthcare education, and programs aimed at illness and disease prevention. The Foundation also commits to supporting other programs promoting community health, education, and welfare and may engage in other charitable, scientific, literary, and educational efforts as guided by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Twin County Community Foundation provides three types of grants: Project-Based, Capacity Building, and Capital Needs. The foundation supports 501(c)(3) organizations and government entities in projects serving local health, general welfare, and education.
The Foundation encourages contacting its Executive Director before application submission and reserves the right to set grant size limits for efficient administration and financial stability. Grants are usually awarded annually, but multiyear grants are considered.
