Unique Zan Foundation: Small Grant

    The mission of the funder is to empower women in education and health initiatives, providing opportunities to promote peace and positive changes in their communities. They work with organizations and academic institutions to support projects that positively impact women’s lives, increase cross-cultural understanding, and encourage women to become leaders in their communities. They focus on meeting the unmet needs of education and healthcare, specifically targeting women in or from West Asia and the Middle East facing high conflict situations and gender inequities.

    The grant program aims to support a wide range of projects that promote women's health, education, and leadership. It specifically focuses on investing in women’s human rights, supporting refugees and immigrant communities, educating and training teachers in the Middle East, providing technical assistance and health education, training nurses and community healthcare workers in developing countries, providing educational grants to similar professionals, funding construction of girls’ schools and health clinics, training women to become professional leaders, and supporting research on women’s education, health, and peace efforts. Additionally, the foundation offers small grants to promote women’s health and Iranian cultural activities within the Bay Area community. These grants and projects aim to directly and indirectly empower women, thereby fostering community development and expansion.
