United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania focuses on funding community partners to provide various programs and services within a five-county region, aiming to address local community needs through collaborative efforts.
The United Way’s Community Impact Grants offer nonprofit agencies the opportunity to apply for funding through the United Way’s Impact Fund. These grants, awarded for a duration of three years and subject to annual performance assessments and fund availability, are designed to support programs aligning with three key investment priorities: Meeting Basic Needs, Moving Toward Financial Stability, and Building For Success in School and Life. Each priority area encompasses a range of specific goals such as addressing food insecurity, providing secure housing, facilitating access to education and career development, and ensuring the social and emotional well-being of young people, among others. These grants embody the United Way's commitment to enhancing the health, education, and financial stability of every person in their community.
