The grant focuses on increasing the capability of law enforcement to prevent, mitigate, and respond to gender-based violence (GBV). It aims to address the global prevalence of GBV, emphasizing the importance of a survivor-centered and trauma-informed approaches by law enforcement. The goals include improving law enforcement responses to GBV through education and cultural changes, and providing the public with evidence and guidelines for implementing successful interventions. This effort is geared towards ensuring justice for survivors, particularly women and girls, LGBTQI+, and other marginalized groups, by overcoming challenges such as limited resources, lack of knowledge, gender bias, and cultural norms within law enforcement practices.
