TX: Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)

From USDA: Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)

We deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.

Type of Support

Overview

The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is designed to assist agricultural producers and forest landowners in addressing natural resource concerns. Through technical and financial support, EQIP helps implement conservation practices that lead to various benefits including improved water and air quality, soil health, reduced erosion, and enhanced wildlife habitat. The program also provides specific initiatives targeting areas such as High Tunnel Systems, Organic Agriculture, Air Quality, Landscape Conservation, On-Farm Energy, and the Colorado River Basin Salinity. Additionally, EQIP offers opportunities through Conservation Innovation Grants to foster the development and adoption of innovative conservation technologies and approaches on agricultural lands.
