We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program offers loans and grants to Microenterprise Development Organizations (MDOs) specifically aimed at supporting the startup and growth of microenterprises in eligible rural areas. The primary goals are to establish a Rural Microloan Revolving Fund and to provide essential training and technical assistance to microloan borrowers and entrepreneurs. Eligible areas for this support are defined as rural regions outside cities or towns with fewer than 50,000 residents, ensuring the focus remains on fostering economic development in underserved rural communities. Grants up to $205,000 annually are available for technical assistance, requiring a 15 percent match in funds from recipients, while loans range from $50,000 to $500,000 to fund the Revolving Fund, with a cap on total aggregate debt at $2.5 million.
