We empower courageous leaders and visionary artists who make a positive impact in their communities and inspire others to change the world.
The Gerbode Foundation supports projects that inform and empower communities using media to advance truth, advocate for policy improvements for needy communities, mobilize action against inequality or discrimination, and strengthen communities through collaborative efforts. It looks for organizations led by exceptional leaders, that are fiscally sound, and can leverage the foundation's investment. Grants range from $2,500 to $100,000, with an average grant of $25,000. Areas of focus include advancing truth, justice, environment, and arts through supporting new works in dance, theater, and music, aimed at addressing misinformation, advocating for justice in marginalized communities, environmental conservation and justice, and supporting diverse art creations.
