The mission of Barberton Community Foundation is to strengthen the Barberton community for current and future generations by providing leadership, fostering collaboration, and creating a legacy of giving to do good.
The Barberton Community Foundation supports the Barberton City Schools and the City of Barberton, in addition to making awards to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. It reviews requests three times a year in the areas of education, workforce and economic development; arts and community; and health and wellness. Specifically, the Art and Community Grant seeks concise descriptions of programs or projects, including their necessity, the amount requested, usage of funds, the served demographic, and the project's timeframe. Funding for each request generally does not exceed $15,000.
