    Overview

The grant offered by the Community Foundation for Perry County, in partnership with FAO’s I’m A Child of Appalachia® Fund, focuses on benefiting Perry County residents through support for nonprofits, schools, and public organizations. The grant awards projects across five critical areas: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. A significant focus is placed on projects led by or for youth under age 18, encouraging initiatives that foster opportunities, address urgent needs, and realize local potential. Grants range from $500 to $5,000, with a total of $25,000 available for distribution. Specifically, $5,000 is allocated to support youth-led projects, which are considered separately from other community proposals.
