Madison Community Foundation's mission is to enhance and improve the lives of those in their community by strengthening and supporting the nonprofits that serve them. They aim for long-term impact through initiatives that benefit the collective well-being of everyone in the community.
The Community Impact grants program by the Madison Community Foundation is designed to support and invigorate nonprofits across Dane County, focusing on initiatives within five key areas: Community Development, Environment, Learning, Arts and Culture, and Nonprofit Capacity Building. These grants aim to foster a thriving community by bolstering innovative or high-performing nonprofits and investing in natural and cultural assets. Grants are categorized into Program Grants, which support successful new or existing programs; Capital Grants, which are used for physical investments like construction or equipment purchase; and Endowment Challenge Grants, which enhance sustainability through matched funding to build endowments. This structure supports a wide range of projects aiming to improve the quality of life in greater Madison.
