The Main Street Community Foundation, Inc. serves the communities of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, and Wolcott. Its mission is dedicated to facilitating the well-being and betterment of these communities through the evolution of its programs and policies, aiming to respond effectively to the changing needs of the community.
The Trust's grant program targets new capital projects, programs, and initiatives that aim to improve the health and well-being of Southington residents. Letters of Inquiry are accepted biannually, with a focus on supporting areas that include but are not limited to health care needs of an aging population, substance use and mental health, and healthy living initiatives like access to healthy food, environmental sustainability, fitness, health equity, health education, and improved access to health services. Funding requests must align with these community health and healthcare priority areas. Continued funding inquiries are also reviewed for ongoing projects.
