The grant program focuses on supporting various causes crucial to the enrichment and betterment of the African American community in Omaha. It has broad goals aimed at elevating aspects such as Arts and Culture, Basic Human Needs, Community Development, Health and Wellness, and Capacity Building. Specifically, it funds initiatives in visual arts, arts education, cultural programs, providing essentials like food, shelter, and clothing, leadership training, neighborhood groups, youth programs, medical and health services, as well as fundraising and operational support for organizations. A significant emphasis is placed on projects that demonstrate collaboration among multiple organizations and those that have African American representation in clients served, management, staff, and board members.
