The Individual Investigator Research Grant Awards are established to encourage concentrated research efforts in areas with significant potential to advance towards treatments and cures for RYR-1-Related Diseases. Applicants are strongly encouraged to utilize available RYR-1-RD murine models from various sources, including the latest animal models demonstrating moderate to severe myopathy phenotypes. The RYR-1 Foundation has outlined Research Priority Areas that specifically target gaps in current research pertaining to RYR-1-RD, prioritizing applications that align with these areas while also considering proposals outside these focal points.
