    Overview

The FY2024 Global Media Makers (GMM) program invites U.S. public and private non-profit organizations to propose a professional development initiative for film and television content creators from participating countries. This initiative aims to elevate influential voices tackling critical issues through media, including the climate crisis, democratic governance, freedom of expression, pluralism, tolerance, and empowerment of women and youth. The program connects mid-career professionals (Fellows) from around the world with mentors from the U.S. entertainment industry to enhance their skills and creative content development. Fellows will participate in a four-to-six-week residency in Los Angeles, receiving advanced training and industry access to produce independent and compelling content for their home countries.
